OK so in reality I have nothing really to add about concrete, or indeed Concrete Jungle – which was a Bob Marley track (Concrete Jungle – YouTube) and a pretty good one too. A lot of our work is school based and we pride ourselves on offering – as a very bare minimum – a service whereby our installation won’t fall off the walls/out of the ceilings and onto someone. I know, I know – it’s the least we can do.
That said, recent news of dodgy concrete in some schools caused a raised eyebrow in the office. A fitting is only as good as the wall it is fixed to after all. Luckily, on further inspection only one of our schools fell into the affected category and having only done data cabling for that site, we are confident that nobody will be subject to a crumbling wall…
Our thoughts go out to school administrators and leadership teams who have to deal with this, along with the usual mountains of stuff, a few days before the start of a new academic year.
This will surely go down, meteorologically speaking, as the summer that never was – certainly here in the UK anyway. With other parts of the world really feeling the heat in an unprecedented way, we were lumbered with the same ‘wet and mild’ normally reserved for the other 9 months of the year.
From our point of view as a small business however, the summer will go down as a success – with a full diary and a good variety of installs showcasing our full range of services (from A to D!), we really couldn’t ask for more. Check out more about our full range of services here:
