The team at Our Lady approached us early in 2019 with a view to doing something about their ‘Heath Robinson’ style Wi-Fi network which was essentially a load of domestic routers placed in no particular order around the place. We could see they were struggling with the ever-increasing intake of bandwidth-hungry devices such as iPads. We fitted:

• Wireless internet access points
• A full new Category 6 cable network throughout the school
• A whole lot of trunking

Old school buildings such as these don’t tend to come with suspended ‘false’ ceilings which naturally make cabling a little trickier, particularly when there are twenty years’ worth of previous cabling jobs stapled to the walls and painted in… Still, we always win in the end and the school are set for the coming years with a strong network which will stand up to growth.
